About the Artist: Soivi Nikula

The Finnish artist, Soivi Nikula, is mainly known for her set designs and costumes due to her textile designs. She moved to Spain in 2006 when she began to work in the tourism industry to feature her work. She has been featured in the Ainsa Museum of Arts and Crafts and has been awarded the Everest editorial award twice. Her work is known for using natural materials from the area and being inspired by her surroundings. 

For the Ulula room she said: “I like heartfelt things that are meaningful and pleasant to live.”

Birds nest at ease in this bright-filled room, giving magical shades that make us wonder if they are ours or lent. And when sun gives daytime a break, moon lays herself on a playful pond giving her shine, tenderness and whispering so quietly that calm is full in the company of owl's hoot and wind talk.
